Equipment for Manhole Rehabilitation - Pennsylvania (2010)

Two 10 horsepower Slopegliders were supplied for vertical installation in an existing manhole with a guide rail system.  IE Tech, Inc coordinated the equipment and subcontractors for the job that required a confined space team.  The manhole plumbing was replaced and reconfigured to allow for elimination of the guide rail systems and replacement with quick disconnects at the top hatch allowing for easy connection of the new pumps without guide rails or entering the manhole.  Since the manhole was to be shut down for the entire length of the project, finishing quickly, efficiently, and safely were of great importance.  All of these goals were accomplished in the three day project.
