Project Spotlight

IE Tech, Inc worked with a client in the New England states to design and install a duplex condensate knockout system for use in a renewable energy methane gas project that will provide enough power needed for the equivalent of 2,600 homes in the area.

The system consisted of two submersible pumps contained in an HDPE manhole  manufactured by ISCO Industries of Louisville, KY.  The pumps are controlled by a 5 float intrinscially safe system with high and low level alarms, as well as indicator lights.  The control also has outputs available for connection to an autodialer system to be installed.  The 1/2 horsepower pumps operate in a lead-lag logic and have a manual override available also.

All materials inside of the manhole are either HDPE or stainless steel for maximum longevity in the corrosive environment of leachate and methane gas. The stainless steel quick connects allow the pumps to be easily removed if necessary
